The price for attending our workshops is $35.00 per workshop, unless a client meets the income guidelines that are listed above. Once again, clients who meet these guidelines are given a 75% discount. (Discount price is $8.75 per workshop.)

The cost of our life coaching is $25.00 per session. Clients who meet the income guidelines listed above will receive the 75% discount. They will pay $6.25 per session.

In order to receive the discount, clients must fill out a scholarship application before each new quadrimester begins. The scholarship applications must be returned to us by the end of the business day, on the Thursday of the first week of the quadrimester. You will be notified by a letter or an e-mail if your scholarship has been approved, within one week of the day that we receive your application.

Clients who receive a scholarship must perform four hours of community service each month. Failure to comply with this condition, without showing acceptable cause, can result in the loss of the scholarship. It is up to the client to make sure that they turn in their signed time sheet by the 25th of each month. Clients will be charged non-scholarship rates for services received during the month, if the time-sheet is not turned in. For a list of ideas of places to do service hours, please visit our client website at www.mentalhealththroughchrist.com.

We appreciate it when our clients pay for their workshops at registration, or at the time of a life coaching session. We understand, however, that some people will need to have their bill spread out over the four months of each quad. There is a $1.00 fee per month for doing this. All payments are due by the 10th of each month. A $0.25 per day late fee can be added to your bill for each day that your payment is late. You will not be allowed to register for a new quad until all amounts still owed from the previous quad has been paid in full.

Checks should be made out to New Life Fellowship with a note on the check that says, for Healing Rain Ministries.

Why Service Hours Are Required

When we started in 2003, all of our services were completely free. We learned very quickly that when people receive something free, they don't value it as much as they should. Clients would fail to show up for appointments and workshops whenever they felt like it, without giving any notification about their intentions to do so.

In addition to the situation describe above, we also learned that many of our clients struggled with depression. One of the best therapies for depression is to get the person's eyes off of them and their problems. Have clients do service hours helped in this regard. We also found that it gave our clients a reason to feel good about themselves. In addition, it gives Healing Rain Ministries another method of advertising, and seeing we don't have an advertising budget, we need the good publicity.

The most important reason that we require service hours is that it is a way for each client to follow the admonition given by the Apostle Paul to the members of the church in Galatia. In  Galatins 5:13, he admonishes the Galatians not to indulge in satisfying their sinful natures, but to rather, "SERVE ONE ANOTHER IN LOVE."
